Welcome to Balkanic Bio Fuel !
Welcome to the service on environment friendly fuel of the XXI century called PELLETS.
What are pellets?
The simplest answer to this question is:
Pellets are highly effective and ecological fuel made from pressed biomass material in the shape of cylinders of 6-8 mm in diameter.
It is burnt fully automatically in special central heating boilers.
8m3 of pellets corresponds to approx. 3500l heating oil (equal calorific value).
Very big forces applied during pressing cause small volume of ready product which contains a very large amount of biomass.
This is potentially the greatest source of renewable energy in the world.

Pellets are clean and natural products, made from post-production wastes in sawmills and wood industry.
They can be named highly valuable bio-fuel and, compared with other post-waste bio-fuels, are not impure.
During the process of production there are no chemicals added.
The production consists of three following processes:
1. Drying
2. Milling
3. Pressing
Drying should be adjusted to the material.
Milling (crushing) is very similar everywhere, in a ball mill giving dry biomass processed into powder.
Pressing takes place in a rotating die, as it was originally invented for pellets.
But what is biomass?
Biomass is an organic substance produced in the process of solar energy accumulation.
It is the biggest potential source of renewable energy globally available.
The main feature of biomass is that it does not cause large emissions of sulphur dioxide.
The balance of coal dioxide produced in course of biomass burning equals zero due to its absorption in the earlier photosynthesis process.
Things are different with the non renewable energy sources, which pollute in considerable way the environment through emission of large amounts of sulphur dioxide produced in course of coal, oil or gas burning.
Through the use of biomass besides advantages resulting from smaller emissions of sulphur and coal dioxides we obtain another important factor, which nowadays should be utilised.
Overproduction of food and unemployment in the countryside can be reduced by better utilisation of the biomass existing in the nature.
By utilising the biomass of Bulgarian fields and forests we will increase the demand on agricultural and forestry products and enable creation of new jobs.
By utilising local resources of renewable energy among others pellets can be obtained.
In the countries of Western Europe, among others Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany pellets have been used for heating of functional buildings and households for more than a decade and through all of that time pellets have been gaining more and more advocates.
Pellets - advantages:
- high density (energy concentration),
 - very low content of sulphur dioxide and other noxious substances in the flue gas,
- low ash content,
- Pellets are manufactured without addition of binders and do not contain any noxious substances,
- Pellets are fully renewable,
- Pellets are an advantageous option instead of coal, oil or gas.
Special boilers for pellets are fully automated, without manual control.

Specifications of BBF wood pellets:
diameter 6mm/8mm
length 10-30mm
power output 4,9-5,00 kWh/kg
min. of pressing 1,1 kg/dm3 (min 18 MJ/kg)
weight 650-700 kg/m3
water content max 10%
abrasive: 2,3%
ash 0,5 to max 1%
sulphur content up to 0,04%
chloral content: up to 0, 02%
Additives: 0%
Pellets are ecological, clean and very comfortable.
Pellets are packed in sacks or delivered in specially adapted cars.
Pellets does not have to be afraid of competition.
First of all, pellets are the source of renewable energy, it can be offered instead of oil, gas or coal, it is more economical.
Starting from the natural raw material until burning without any chemical additives:

THE COSTS OF OBTAINING ENERGY FROM PELLETS ARE INCOMPARABLY LOWER THAN FROM GAS, FUEL OIL OR CURRENT.
